She was never rescued. She was forced to work as a slave for the rest of her life. 98-99% of victims of human trafficking in Europe are never rescued. They can suffer for years without anyone ever knowing the truth about their exploitation. Many of them don’t live very long because of sexually transmitted infections and other health problems that are a result of the dangerous conditions they are forced to work in. This is why it is so important to fight for these men, women, and children. We can’t reach them all on our own but we can do our part and you can do yours!
